WebSite-Watcher supports the following methods to handle cookies:
| • | Use Internet Explorer Cookies
This is the default method, WebSite-Watcher uses cookies from Internet Explorer. WebSite-Watcher only reads cookies from Internet Explorer, new cookies are not written to the Internet Explorer cookie system. |
| • | Use internal cookie system
Alternatively to the Internet Explorer Cookie system, WebSite-Watcher can manage cookies individually for each bookmark. The tool MiniBrowser helps you to determine cookies for a given URL, these cookies must be copied to the cookie field in that section. All cookies are stored in the bookmark properties and not shared with other bookmarks. |
| • | Don't use cookies
As the caption says, WebSite-Watcher doesn't use cookies. |
In some cases a web page can only be opened when you open it from another specific page. If a web page needs a specific previous page (referrer), you can enter this URL into that field.
The POST feature is available for professional users only and is usually a bit faster than using a Check-Macro. Normally you should record a Check-Macro for pages where the POST command is involved.
By default, WebSite-Watcher uses the GET command to monitor web pages. If a page requires the POST command (for example after filling out a form), then you can use the tool MiniBrowser to determined the POST URL and PostData. The field PostData can also contain date variables.
